Wikicamps lists it as $20 powered per night and sounds right.

If you are only staying two nights the road beside the railway station is free. You have free use of the showers and dunnies at the bus stop.

It would be nice to put some money in the donation box on the outside wall of ladies toilets opposite the station though.

Go on the cmca site and look at the Motor Homes for sale.I
I too recommend a rear wheel drive job.
Some have a bed over the cab plus a double in the rear. You can then use the overcab space for storage.(My Sis does) If you look long enough and do a little homework you could easily get a reasonable rig for under 100 grand.
My sisters one cost 60k with 80k on the clock and being a diesel is just about run in.
It has a 3ltr donk with 385n and the gearing is good so it is economical and handles hills ok. But still no express.

You can either Cindy to blow it away or do what most do, edit the message to read "deleted."

Correct, $20 powered per night.  We stayed there about 6 weeks ago on our way up.

Is the Teepee still up in Townsville Dougwe? I was looking for some smoke signals in Townsville today but alas was a bit windy, Or, have you started to follow the buffalo southward?

Staying in Home Hill at the moment, this is a great showground to stay at. it is $20 with power and water, $15 no power but showers, toilet and water available. Washing machines $3 each load. Ask John and Ann the caretakers any questions about the local area. Happy hour starts at 4pm. Fruit and vegi lady on a thurday and home made jam lady on a friday.

lots of space, dogs and kids more than welcome.
