Thanks for your reply, we are house sitting at the moment and hoping to leave here in about 6 weeks, spend a few weeks in SW WA and then slowly go east and have a look around and travel up to Greens and stay for a while. Thanks again

Nobody comes into the Greens thread over the winter it seems.
Earliest for the summer would be Late Oct Early Nov.
From then on the grounds are suitable for camping, unless there's heavy rain of course. Can get a bit muddy.
The only time it closes is over News Years Eve. There are plenty of other camps nearby. Aysons Reserve. Girgarre are a couple.
Rochester now has camping in the middle of town also. Not to far away.
Thanks Rocket,we are still in WA for probably another 6 weeks so will set off slowly. We are both looking forward to the trip over and by then hopefully it will be coming warmer ,have
had enough of the cold weather now .
Safe travels

Sorry to hijack the thread - but Trevor - have you checked out the get together at Seabird - above Yanchep? Great place and great people - you would be most welcome.

G'day Trev, Greens Lake is a great place to rest and meet. Big working lake(water in, water out) Packed to the rafters xmas and Aussie day(26 jan).Closed over new year, around 29th dec until 2/3rd jan, but I believe there is a farmer locally that will accommodate travellers over closed period.
I checked on Seabird and the area on the Wiki Camps applet, and I could find not even one free camping there. Is there some secret one? Or, may be you found some reasonably priced CP somewhere in the area? Interesting. Are you coming to Greens this year?
