Just a thought, many caravan parks will store your van on-site for a fee. I rang a guy in Hervey Bay called Mark on 07 4129 4061 when I went for a couple of days to Fraser Island. He charges $1 per foot, it was all under cover in a cyclone proof enclosure. Good luck. Gwynnie@matildatraveller

There is a yard in Rainbow Beach next to hardware store where you can store you vehicles, I think they charge $10 a night....If going to Fraser buy your beach and camping permits online they are lots cheaper, the next choice is the Parks office in Rainbow, if you buy them from the barge office the permit costs more and there is an extra admin fee.
The caravan park at Carlo Point will store vans but don't know what they charge.
If you want the number let me know as I will be back in town later in the week and will take a note of it.

Thanks everyone for your replies, Big Mal if you get that number at Rainbow Beach that would be great. I've checked out Google Earth and can see the yard and there is a sign on the gate but just can't read the phone number. I think it also says enquiries to the Rainbow Sands Resort next door.
Yep thats right, I'll be in Rainbow on Thursday and if Oldtimers doesn't kick in I should be able to get the number for you..........Been $5 for years, this year they put it up.........if you need last minute tucker there is a Woolworths at Cooloola Cove on the way to Rainbow, about 15 mins out.......
