Just left St George on way to Mungindi, stopped at the roadside Coffee Van at Thallon, Daco Milkbar, can highly recomend stopping in if you have time, nice coffee, excellent selection of meals available & wonderfull friendly owners.
We were there recently and had the battered barra to take back to the van,talk about the size of the meal,it was huge.
Definitely recommend this milkbar/cafe.cheers and happy travels.
Can I ask, besides the good food were the wheat silos painted when you were there and what did you think of them if they were. Thanks.

The short answer is no!
The painted silos were our reason for going there. We had been told that they were finished...but when we arrived, we found that the painting is not even due to begin until the end of this month. (July 2017)
On the plus side...the food at the Daco Milk Bar was excellent.
