Our spare on the Silverline goes under the back winched up between the chassis members. I think normally the spare is tucked into the "A" frame at the front, do you have any reason for wanting it on the back mounted on a bumper?
I can give you many ideas an mods, as I have just been through and am doing this ATM.
My unit is the 25ft with recliner chairs, instead of the "Club" lounge, we also have a 12v fridge fitted instead of the 3 way.

Where are you located Tumbleweed? Are you after new or second hand original equipment or looking for someone to manufacture and fit? There are several NSW Jayco repairers I have used in NSW when I had my Jayco Discovery -Dubbo, Liverpool, Mt Pritchard.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Yes the spare is already in the drawbar. I am thinking an extra spare may be handy and mounted on a solid bumper would also protect the rear of the van.
Hi again Tumbleweed2, I will tell you what I have done with the same or similar van, but you really should be putting this into General or technical. Both my ute and the van have the same size tires, but the rims are different. Since I am not going off road (wouldn't dare) to have the option of two spares, I have brought a set of wheel spacers, so now I have two spares that be used between vehicles. I also have a compressor and puncture repair kit.
I don't know if you have the same light tube that may be called a bumper on your van, but mounting anything on it is out, a new bumper will have to be constructed, and engineered to the chassis as the chassis is pretty light too. Adding weight to the extremities of the van is not in the best interests of stability, and any extra weight carried would be better put in the tug, a spare weighs 37kg.
