LPG powered vehicles

Just a bit of info for those who are considering purchasing a Petrol/LPG or adding LPG to their Diesel engine vehicle, in the near future

If I have read the below article correctly, then LPG bowsers are disappearing

Below is the link from the ABC net news

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-13/lpg-bowsers-in-decline-at-petrol-stations/8612570

Yep.
Now the tax is on it, and so many smaller vehicles changing to diesel.

it's getting obsolete. Pity.

My Petrol veh's in this country. fairmont and 2 x Fairlanes all had gas.
Less power.
Just sw to petrol on hills.

But a lot better economy. 7c a ltr first tank I had. 100ltr cap.
88ish usable. cost me $8 to fill my Fairlane in that tank.
Great range with two tanks.

My Pajero is one of the ones that will be due for tank inspection and at that time I will probably remove it, I have not used LPG since the massive backfire that destroyed my air box and pur a dent in the bonnet, have had the gas system looked at by 3 LPG specialists and none of them can find the problem so for me its not been as good or as efficient as expected. Next tug will definately be diesel powered.

Thanks Tony,
Yes, I have noticed that Shell stations here in Townsville no longer stock autogas - most BP & some United stations still keep it.
I had my gas service completed today by my local DGA mechanic - passed 100%.

It has been on 3.5 years & have been more than happy with both the installation & performance.

Is this away of compelling us to buying newer vehicles that can only be serviced by dealers & commercial mechanics? Perhaps I'll be on the aged pension again soon! And what about all the taxis in Melbourne - will they be converting to hybrids that are not that flash at driving to 100kph for quite some distance?
