Has anyone been to Wallaman Falls recently? Due to the lack of rainfall in FNQ I was wondering if water was flowing through the waterfall at the moment.

For those who may be in the area .... On Dougwe's suggestion I just rang Ingham Info Centre and they assure me water is flowing over the waterfall. So a visit is planned shortly.

Hello everyone,
Even in a long period of drought, there is always water flowing over Wallaman Falls as it's fed by a spring that runs into Stoney Ck.
Providing the road is open, the most spectacular time to see the falls is in our 'wet" season - IF we get one again.
And for those considering going to Blencoe Falls, do not go there on a long weekend as the local yobbos take over & drive the narrow road as if they own it & they are the only users! It is a road that a lot of care is needed & is only suitable for small camper trailers! The upper section "maintained" by the Tablelands Council is rougher than the lower section.
July is the month where most of North & Far North Qld have their Show Days - some forming long weekends.
