Funny how we find really good caravan parks when it is unexpected. Funny too how in some of the larger centres the van parks leave a lot to be desired. Stayed at Capella Van Park (Queensland, in case there is another Capella). The welcome and service from the people running it was spot on. The amenities were spotless, water warm or hot to fit your wishes, everything worked, with plugs in the hand basins. The whole park was squeaky clean, and the 5pm Happy Hour (which I don't usually join) excellent. A top park I would recommend to anyone.
There is a couple of homesteads in SA with the name. Use this page to find localities (don't use the search box at the top of the page, use the one on the map.)

Hi Kev,
We agree with you. We discovered the park a few years ago & on every trip south we drop into one of the friendliest caravan parks found in Qld.
It's a reasonable trip from Townsville for the first day.
The manager's daughters do a good job of running the park while their parents are making the visitors welcome at the Happy Hours.
