2.3 in the Barossa yesterday and today. But blue skies, so getting a bit done about the place (house sit).
Had a mate on the phone last night, tormenting us with Darwin temperatures (30.8 at 7 p.m.). I may have called him a mean sod. My mum (deep south of Tassie), has been calling me names for months - she's been freezing since March!
Of course, I may just be feeling it more, having spent 3 years in QLD. Off to Big W for thermals shortly...........

Loving the cold snap, our forty odd stone fruit trees need this. Minus four here this morning in the mid north.
Excellent house work weather, waiting for the agent now to get this place on the market and head back to our beloved Territory.
It's "cool" here in Townsville! If you don't like winter down south, you'd better travel to or shift to the tropics where power & insurance is expensive, we get lots of rain sometimes but minimal in others (still in a drought of 4 years).
However the fruits & drinks we like to eat/drink in summer require cold winters - the only "stone: fruits that grow well here are mangoes; the leaves on our trees don't change colour like southern areas & certain popular flowers don't like it here either.
So there's pros & cons - wherever we choose to live! At least this year we're staying here for winter - no more freezing Canberra winters!
Been out west for a few days where it dropped down to 8 degrees just outside the van.
