Another heads up for the unwary.

 

"A hoax Origin Energy bill loaded with dangerous spyware has targeted tens of thousands of Australians.

The well-crafted email branded with the energy provider's official logo claimed to be an electricity bill for varying amounts, with one sighted by Fairfax Media as high as $911.

The scam was sent from servers in France and began reaching Australian email addresses about 8.30am on Wednesday morning.

According to cyber security firm MailGuard, the emails contained dangerous software designed to spy on a victim's computer once they clicked on the email's "view bill" link."

65yr old friend of missus being conned at present.
48Yr Love clubs on net.

Loves her. Lives in US. She already sent him photo's of her driving licence.
and about to send him $4 grand so he can come and visit her.

Dumb as. We've all told her.
Stupidly smitten.

I know the girl. Normally she's a sensible person. But here... drrrr.

I just told her. you deserve all you lose girl.

If you don't have enough sense to believe all your friends are telling you...

There are enuff warnings about it. Everywhere.

The mind boggles hey.

I got the Origin Energy email , I took about a10second look and deleted it .

I often get email scams , a reoccurring one is My PayPal account has been limited and unless I follow the link and fix it it will be deleted
been getting that every couple of weeks for probably 2+ years , alway just delete it my Paypal account still works just fine .
