Having retired from caravan servicing for 7 years now, I can only say what we were charging for this type of service back in that time.
If I remember correctly, the hourly rate was $75.00 ph plus parts, the time taken to do this service, depended a lot on what we found, when stripping down and cleaning the bearings, plus an inspection of the brake linings.
Total time could be as short as 1hr or if parts were required , it could be 4 + hrs.
Sorry I can't be more specific than that, it will depend entirely on what condition your van is in.

I was at Caboolture Caravan Repairs last week & their quoted hourly rate was $100. Just a bit up from KJ's $75.

Goldfinger up and around the corner here charged a standard fee $320 plus bearing plus a light they found was not working $602 later.
Really was not amused asked why? I got some odd answers come away that I would never go back.
I have a phone number for a mobile mechanic down Central Coast NSW way will drive down that way when I need a brake adjustment in the future.
I like the way they don't like to repack your bearing but willing to put new ones in and then charge you to put them in. To me its double dipping. If I had of know first that is what they were going to do I would of did did the job myself. I really hate this sort of operation.

We had our annual service completed by Ryan's Caravans (Jayco Dubbo) in January. Total cost $1,222- that included brakes and bearing kits that totalled $720-. The Jayco Sterling 23' Outback is 3 years old and the first time the brakes and bearings needed attention. The van has 65000+ klms and also changed and up graded the tyres. Refer recommendations.
We have been in Tassie for 3 months and for those members who have towed in the Island state know the need for good brakes etc and that all is first class in regard to bearings etc.
More than happy with the work completed by Ryans and I think that after 7000+ klms Dubbo to Adelaide then to Melbourne and 3 months up and down the mountains of Tasmania I feel very comfortable with 3 ton of Jayco behind me.
We have a caravan repairers here. (Not for 6 yrs now. Me) But he charged me $175ish, and did whole van. ext wiring\lights. Water pump. fridge. int lights. fuses. Brakes etc. Plus parts.
Was Done every yr B4 setting off.
At least get your brakes done professionally one time to start with.
You'll know then you starting off right.
