Hello GypsyLynda

I am not sure exactly what happens, as it is about 50 years since I made an insurance claim

I always assumed that it was the insurance company, who designated which repairer to be used

Or perhaps the cheapest of three quotes

Normally Insurance Company will provide a list of Authorised Repairers - Although I'm now with CIL and they will not recommend specific Repairers, they seem to prefer the Manufacturer's nominated repairer - I suggest you contact Jayco in Brisbane.

Some now give you a claim number and you take that claim number to your repairer , There a Jayco dealer , Brisbane camperland at Tingalpa call 0739175555 who would be able to head you in the right direction .

Both Possum3, and brickies have given good advice, GypsyLynda

Thanks for that info Possum3, as I am also with CIL

Also thanks for your information brickies, as I will now have some idea of the procedure, if anyone runs into me

If you do indeed get the option to choose your repairer you should consider Caboolture Caravan Repairs.

If on the southside of Brisbane check out Caravan Perfection down Coomera way. COL recommended them as well as a few others. They did an excellent repair job and do all my van servicing.

Safe Travels
