Can someone tell me where this bridge is - in Victoria.

IMG_1793.JPGTook this photo some years back whilst on holidays going through Victoria.  The photos I took after it was at Lakes Entrance but I can't remember exactly where it is or the name of the bridge.  It's an old railway bridge.  We were driving along the highway, saw a sign and thought let's have a look.  Dirt road in I think.  Thanks.

Noojee Bridge -great spot to camp, right on the river - unless it is raining. Think it is East Gippsland, which is why you have it with Lakes Entrance photos, I would reckon, Gaylehere.

ps - sorry Kaid - just corrected your spelling - definitely the place.

Looks like a different bridge to me.  Different construction I think.  Look at weeds on top too .. not fit for walking over either .... perhaps.

I recall an old one like this could have been at Gundagai.  Lot of it got washed away in a long ago flood. Oops, just googled that one  ..   not it either.

Edit ... This is the NowaNowa one I think.  Looks very similar including the same number of trestles & construction.  Maybe even the warning sign too.

Nowa Nowa. Spent 25 years visiting Lake Tyers and looks like Nowa Nowa to me! Did you visit Costick's weir near there too?

Absolutely definitely the trestle bridge over Stony Creek in the forest between Lakes Entrance & Nowa Nowa. It's now part of the East Gippsland Rail Trail. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Gippsland_Rail_Trail

Here's one taken from the same view point as yours.

Thanks everyone for your information. Looks like Nowa Nowa is the one. No Lancelot Link, didn't visit Costick's Weir as I didn't know about it. Will need to go down that way again. As I said it was a few years back and it was in June and showery. We were traveling around in a car then before the motorhome. Dunmowin - No I won't put it in "Pick this Place" as we all know it now for sure. Had thought about it a few times but as I couldn't remember where it was or it's name thought I'd ask here instead. Have a few more photos I could put in the "where is it category".

Thanks again.

Really enjoyed your blog even though it did my head as I was reading it backwards ...  ie Newest to oldest!!!

Great photography & stories building a great record for the future.  Amazing what an expert can do with current technology.

Thanks for sharing your blog.

Agree with Cupie about the blog, you should add a new "blog post" every time you add something new. It makes it much easier to read as well as you find a starting point and just go to next post.
