Travel Tips. From Caloundra to Cania Gorge onto Carnavon Gorge

Hi All, We want to travel from Caloundra to Cania Gorge then onto Carnavon Gorge. 

Question: We are towing a fully self sufficient 22.6 off road van. Where are the suggested places to camp during this trip?

Any tips for this trip are welcome.
