Flooding in N.S.W.

We woke this morning to another Sunny day here in Perth, with clear blue skies,

Turned on the T.V. then sat down stunned at the news,

On the East Coast Lismore is under water, apparently their Levee bank on the Wilson river which protects the town, broke in the small hours of this morning.....

Sirens sounded early this morning to warn Lismore residents they must immediately leave as a torrent of water rushed through central Lismore.

The town's levee has been topped for the first time since it was built 12 years ago.

The SES said the situation was extremely serious and warned residents to act with extreme caution.

SES spokesman Ian Leckie said many people were trapped across the region because of the rapid rate of water rising.

One bit of good news,  My Brother, who was travelling with his wife and caravan were camped South of Bowen when the Cyclone came ashore has been located safe and sound back home in Brisbane, I received an email this morning confirming this, although he had to drive through the heaviest rain he has ever seen, now his local area ( Logan ) is under threat of flooding,

Stay safe People, keep high and dry. nonono
