CYCLONE DEBBIE UPDATE -MACKAY TO BE EVACUATED.......

More than 25,000 people need to be evacuated from low-lying areas in Mackay by midnight, with fears incoming Tropical Cyclone Debbie could cause inundation of up to 2.5 metres above the high tide level.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has warned the storm will be the worst since Cyclone Yasi in 2011, and Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said it was "bigger than Marcia" the category five system that hit Queensland in 2015.

just another wind when you been living here a while.
We got them pretty much annually when in Townsville for 20 yrs or so

Marcia was a 5 , we were under 5 km from eye.

That stupid labor pollie wouldn't know which side of her knickers she had her legs in.

All these winds do, really, is clear some of the loose crap lying round peoples yards.

A person sensible. shouldn't be a problem.
it's just these building in low lying and open areas

The old Queenslanders. UP on stilts. were like that for a reason.
wind and water went straight through. or past.
As designed for.

These stupid Southerners building solid on the ground.
deserve all they get. Sorry. Dumb as.

This dramatics is these southerners looking for some, basically.

This is my 5th or 6th (maybe 7) over the yrs. 2 of them in yacht.

They have plenty of warning, just prepare for it. Or move out for a while.
depending.

it's the ooold houses that suffer, though a lot of them old timber (pine) ones,
are due for it when you look at them.
Hardwood ones last forever.
As long as people sensible enough to move it's never a problem.
it's only material things.

plus.

this pl net h s been doing this  nnu lly for thous nds of yrs.

you'd think somebody would wise up hey .

(no letter key before B on keybo rd, sorry)

Little bit os for a tic.

keyboard arrived after posting this above,.
took less than 5 mins to go downstairs, get delivery.
upstairs. remove old board (not screwed in).
Insert new keyboard.clip in cable 4 screws and strip.
= $24 delivered and 4 days wait.

Comp tech's quoted $285ish for same job. hmmm.

people should do the sinple jobs, saving a fortune.

IE 500gig etc HDD. swap for SSd drive. costing around the $150 mark for SDD,
2 screws on back cover. unplug cable. replug cable, insert.
I added a slim sheet of styrene to take up volume. 2 screws. done.

Same with ram. 2 screws. cover. "TILT ram up".
REMOVE or add extra chip. tilt down, cover. 2 screws.

Just saved yourself over $100/150 for each job.

A bit nervous. go on you tube. type in name, model of whatever you have
with removal of whatever you doing .
You'll get a step by step.
this big clunk can do it. you all can.

That's Lappies. Towers even easier..
Back to subject.
