Watchem Lake Campground VIC

Gday...

Watchem Lake Campground VIC

CAMPS 8 VIC site 391 36 08 54 S 142 50 51 E

CAMPS 9 VIC site 378 36 08 54 S 142 50 51 E

1km west of Watchem on the B220 Highway, south of Birchip VIC.

There are flushing toilets, hot showers, some power sites. Water is available which is pumped from the lake. However, they have some rainwater tanks if you need to dependent on rain of course.

The facilities are on the eastern side of the lake but none on the western side, so if you need power/water/showers/toilets then camp on the eastern side.

There are no time limitations and no grey water restrictions so a very good overnight stop or for extended stays.

See the resident caretaker to pay fees but during winter fees are to be paid at the Store in town.

Pets are allowed on leash. There is fishing for yellow belly in the lake.

On the weekends there will be locals with some boating activities.

There is a formed walkway into town 1km so about a 15-20minute easy walk. If you call into the pub say Gday to Cathy and Ian Roberts who have only recently taken over the hotel.

Cheers - John

Looks a nice place with regard to the fees I presume it's per vehicle not per person

Great wrap up John, can you park your van on lakes edge? I have a heavy kayak, would be good if I could just carry it a couple of mtrs.
