Great place to stay

We  have just spent 3 days at Tannum Sands Discovery Park near Gladstone Qld. We had a powered grassy site as requested, plenty of slab sites available.  Close to the beach, playgrounds, fishing, beautiful park and walkways/bikeways.  We are self contained but the amenities are spotless, cool pool, kids playground and the management is friendly and obliging.  It is off peak season at the moment but after Easter they have entertainment and bbqs on odd nights.  Oh and pet friendly (on leads) of course.

Hi Grannyk, if I may and as a suggestion, seeing you introduced youself a while back here, your info would be better suited and seen by many in the appropriate section of the forum.

Sounds a very nice CVP though.

Good to see you are enjoying the playground.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Hello Grannyk

I hope that I am not too late to also welcome you to the forum

One of the good things about this forum is that when you ask a specific question about anything, (you asked Dougwe, which section you should put a post into)
Someone will do their best to answer that question

So here goes

This website was a minefield for me, when I first started posting, but after a while it gets easier
Here is how I recommend a caravan park, I will assume that other members will do it differently, and perhaps explain it better than I can

In the Grey Nomads Forum (before the General Forum), if you scroll down you will see a section called Recommendations

In the Recommendation Section, at the top of the page there are two sub sections, one named Mechanics, and the other named Caravan Parks

A recommendation for (anything) type post will soon become lost, in the General Section, as I seem to think that there must be close to nineteen thousand topics in the General Section

Good to see that you are enjoying yourself, and I hope that there are many happy road trips ahead of you

I thought that would be the reason Granny that's why I said what I said.

'Reccommendations' would be the appropriate place really as that's what it's for, it keeps those things in one place so all can find later. If it goes in 'General' it ends up in the dungeon quicker than quick.
