free camping

I agree Brickies. Use whatever you wish to, but don't bag places that don't have free camps or caravan parks. There will be a reasonable reason.

This thread has taken off, guess I should have added another parameter to my list, controversial, predictable and entertaining, the thread meets all three requirements.

Certainly is time for more popcorn.

We believe in the term " Bush CAMP" rather than "FREE CAMP"

As in many cases we donate to keep the site going.

Would much rather pay a few $$$$$ for a bush camp than a C.Park or even a Show ground.

Bush camping is a great way to see Australia.

The Yanks use a variety of terms like 'Stealth camping'  & 'Boondocking".   Some of the places they rave about on their utube videos are terrible.  Lots seem to be on bare dirt/gravel out in the middle of no where.  Walmart parking areas are popular too.  But there are some really good spots too.

I am a regular reader of Enigmatic Nomads & links from there.  Interesting to experience their equivalent of 'bush camping'.

I don't think of freecamping as in paying no money.
My thoughts are Free as in Free as a bird, enjoying the freedom to do as I want and enjoy.
