I thought that I saw a posting from him using his Wife's? logon explaining that he had had the pain relief operation/insert & was waiting for it to settle & adjusted before flying home.

If he sees this & if still in Bris. he might contact me so that I can visit him.   That's how I met Cruising Granny when she was coming down from Cairns several years ago for hospitalisation.

Sorry Cupie.
Was in Hospital then Condo for 12 days. flew home night b4 last. and just becoming human.
But high frustration as I can't Do anything.
I would NOT have been good company. Pain levels were very interesting, then some.
the first 5 days or so. Just travelling to\from and in plane knocked me
.
NO. Twist.squat turn head look down\up no arms above head. 2.5kg max lift.
Can't even look down for a pee. All guesswork as to what goes where (chuckle)

For 3 months. Jeez. I'm getting frustrated now. and Di ready to strangle me. (too active)

BUT, If this half as good as just the Trial, I'll be wrapped, then some.
Should be able to drop my drug consumption by a min of 25mg Opiates a day.
Possibly even the Patch?. Could even become a human being again hey.

Just on the basic setting till surgery pains and swelling goes.
I'm probably 30% DOWN on prev pains.

As I was saying earlier. If this a success, there are a few on here that would appreciate it.
(several have contacted me already regarding mfg\Supplier\Specialist etc.)

Reviews from actual users pretty good now.
Some had a few problems with battery\pulse controller install, and overheating,
in beginning.
But that was more the surgeons? than anything else.
Apparently. The right bloke makes a lot of difference with placement and surgery.
I got the one reckoned to be the best in Aust.

This is a fairly recent version of these things. (5ish yrs in Aust)
running at higher freq. Which seems to negate 99% of the lower freq Problems.

Full Private Hosp cover. done in priv hosp.

Trial free. after several other things first over several months.
(they cover less than true. Chronic pain.)

I'm on max drugs up to point of losing licence at next level and still hmmmm at times.

It's Gov't subsidised for most of costs.
I just paid cheque for $3760. will get around a grand back from BUPA. plus $500 anaesthetics.
So.. Around $3 grand out of pocket.
But according to all I've spoken to, net and face to face.
And. as anybody with chronic pains will tell you. ANY relief is priceless.
Worth 50 grand and more. (Actual full costing is $33+ k.)

The trial is free, and tells you what YOU will\Won't get in relief. (Mine since June 1990)

From Mr Bionic man. My lights come on when madam hits the button. Real weird

and Now. Di DOES control me. I ain't getting hold of MY TV controller says she.
Push.push. Twitch. twitch...

Bugger.  Just missed you.  Perhaps next time.

Lets hope that the technology goes well.

It's hard for one like me who has never experienced any real amount of pain to imagine what you go through.

You're a trooper, especially for a POM, though I suppose that you have been here long enough to qualify as a true Aussie. My Pommy forebears arrived here 2nd June 1797.

Yea.. We'll catch up one day hey.

Pain. everyone's different.
What extreme to one is so=so for another. Depends a lot on how long you had it.
Until I got this management system of drugs.
I'd often be standing there banging my head on wall to distract from it.

AHHHHhh.
THAT's Where my problems come from hey. Scrambled eggs (brain)

And I ain't a pom......... Bin 'ere since '73.
My dust will float offshore from Queensland.

7 Aust Granddaughters, 2 x US, 1 x Victorian boy.
he couldn't help where his parents come from poor kid.Chuckle.

Whoops gotta go and get plugged in now. Catch ya later.

Hmmm.
Motorbike accident in June 1990.
Dick in car came through lights and clobbered me on right side.
throwing me over top of truck. Landed on head.
Shattering KEVLAR helmet at point of impact.
Leg in 7 places. complete rib cage broken, pushed in on right.
Shoulder bones and arm snapped of skeleton. (I've got the 3D Xray of that.
Shards of bone everywhere)
Collar bone. brain damage (drrr). and broken neck.
Others (primarily) fixed, but neck. that ongoing.
Oh Ribs cage ripped lung to shreds. Only one working now. (all ribs broken on that side)

Dead on side of road says Ambulance report
till they gave me a coupla serves of the bumper.
then poured straight blood into me in Intensive care for about 3 days
till I sealed up a bit, then woke up.

Blood going in drip then straight back out of drain tube in lung cavity.

Still have the hole scar in chest.

Interesting way to lose near six yrs of your life becoming human again hey.
Was good again till around 68yrs when it started catching up with me.

But I've been on a bonus since 4.20pm on 30th June '90 anyway
so all's good.
On second time round. Reborn at 49yrs hey.
Luckier than a LOT of others I reckon.
