should be exactly the same as regular TV, if away just use the EPG (electronic Program Guide) button and scroll through the channels.

You say you have bought a system but haven't set up yet but registered it, well to register correctly you have to have the system up and running with the dish actually on the sat otherwise you have wasted your time and will have to do a re hit when you do get it st up.

It is a learning curve but not rocket science, go to a van park get the gear out and the helpers will appear like zombies ! some are great some a pain, but it will make it easier, but it is easy the second and third or fourth time and then you just do it without thinking.

I agree with Banjo,

confuseconfuseconfuse How have you registered without been set up to receive your specific coded  number to your set top box, from Optus in the first place.confuseconfuseconfuse

Start all over please.

I've just purchased my VAST TV kit and set it up for the first time this weekend. I had to admit being a total novice it was a bit daunting. On advice from Hugh at Satgear, I purchase a programmable satellite finder and he showed me how to set up the dish, lnb etc and it was far easier than I thought it would be. I had the set up channel showing within 30 minutes of set up (No doubt a lot slower than the experts). I haven't activated my card yet either, but Hugh said that the best thing to do was to set the system up at home so it runs the set up channel 800, then active the card. I think we have to re-active them every six months?

If I can set one of these VAST systems up anyone can. Mine came with well written instructions and that make the whole process a lot easier.

Best of luck but I'm sure the more you use it the easier it will get. I also have Satgear's mobile number to use at any time should I have difficulty.

Robbo.
