This is a great initiative by Colin Young and the CCA and I, as a dealer, fully support it.
In the first instance it offers a dispute resolution opportunity to both parties by an independent body, the CCA.
In the event that the dispute cannot be resolved then the CCA provides valuable advice regarding your rights under the Consumer Act by providing access to their solicitor who in some circumstances offers a free telephone consultation. Your claim will be legally assessed and you will be advised as to your chances of a win under the Consumer Act and the approx cost.
I admit I haven't always been in agreement with the CCA but in this instance well done! Let's get the information out there. Sometimes a small dispute develops into a big one if not properly handled.
