G'day, new members

G'day all, a couple of new members on here. Matt and Sue. I retired in Jan 2011 and Sue retired recently. We own a 17'6" Concept Innovation which we purchased in May 2016. Shortly after, we headed off on a  trip from Canberra to Darwin, down the west coast and then home. Around 4 months and 18500km's. We love the lifestyle on the road. We like free camping and are well set up for it, but also don't mind caravan parks. We are very happy with the van. It's a great size for two people and very comfortable. Nothing went wrong on its maiden voyage and it tows really well. Go Concept........

Prior to that, our caravanning experience was with a Jayco Swan in the 1990's. We took the kids out of school took a heap of long service leave and headed off for 4 or so months. Up the east coast, up to the tip (cape York), across into the NT and then home down through the centre. We all had a ball.

We're currently planning 2 months in Feb/March in Tassie. Looking forward to that. Until last week, I towed the Concept with a 2011 Dmax but have just purchased a new Ranger Wildtrak. Pretty excited with it so far. Its got more power and towing capacity (3500kg's) and more safety features than the Dmax, but our van only weighs 2500kg's, so we've got some fudge room, which is good.

We look forward to reading the adventures of others on here and learning some tips/ideas along the way.

Ciao for now,

Matt
