Lake Broadwater Conservation Park

Hi, folks.

Attached is a video I shot on the Lake Broadwater camping grounds, out near Dalby.

It's a great spot, not expensive, and gives two types of camp options. Amenities are fairly good - the "boss" was happy to use them and that's a vote of confidence. If you're a boatie or fisher, then the lake is good for you as well.

It's worth a visit.

Cheers!

Good place to spend a few days.

We've stayed there 5 times now.

I haven't heard of or seen any fish being caught there, but have had a couple of good feeds of yabbies.

Can get very noisy at weekends with boats and skiers.

Sounds OK but not to sure if it fits the Free/Budget bill at $6 per person per night.

It sounds like for $12 for 2 people you get the use of a toilet which we don't need as we are fully self sufficient and there are many places that are free and fit this bill ie. Lake Elfinstone for one I was simply saying that I don't think $12 per night for use of a toilet does not as I said fit this category. Sandsmere you may be judging from the likes of a Big Four user and we have been there over time but now as pensioners we prefer Free/Budjet.

No Pets. Doesn't give an encouraging write up in Wiki Camps.

Don't know anything about Big 4. Have never stayed in one. Very rarely stay in any CPs.

Broadwater has very good hot showers as well as toilets. Also some BBQ,s.

One of the better campsites we have been to in almost 6 years on the road.

This would have to be one of the best camp sites available.

Unfortunately the 2 days we spent there W.C. 17.10.17 we had rain and I reckon 60 knots winds coming off the lake..

Spent the 2 days in the van.   But!!!! under blue skies, a great spot.

Put it on your list.

Only $6.20 p.p and certainly a lot cheaper than a caravan park, with heaps of space. But no fish. Lake dries up during drought.

The lake is about 25 klms out of Dalby on the Moonie highway turn left at sign post and again around 8 klms of black top to the lake site.

Enjoy

Jay&Dee

Agree, it is a top spot.

Have stopped there on several occasions.
