I Smuggled a Budgie into a Caravan Park!

This one is precious.  I smuggled my Budgie into a Big 4 caravan park.  I forgot to declare Dickie Whacker, my pet Budgie before entering the park.  They did not kick me out, they are just insisting that the budgie is not allowed to be taken out of the van!  That means that I can't sit outside reading, doing crosswords or just having the budgie talking to me.  Previous parks, he has been a talking point, here he is a leper.  I just wonder if they know what a budgie is!

Lancelot Link,

What a load of rubbish...what do they think the budgie will do...attack the kids or other pets - or do you think the chirping may keep the neighbours awake all night?????????

Just tell them to get a life and cater for their CUSTOMERS...........nono

Can I ask which Big 4 you are in?

G'day. Me thinks Lancelot Link is having a lend of us. look at the name of his budgie and think of a former PM's bathers.
Cheers.

I am not having a lend of anyone. His real name is Jasper, but to me he his Dickie Whacker and responds to the name. The caravan park in question is the Big $ at West Beach in Adelaide. Note the change from Big 4 to Big $, Trip Advisor will be receiving a review of the Park and there will be no holding back. I think my budgie is the only pet in the park and it is a huge park. Have family commitments and need to spend 10 days here. At over $400 with what I consider sub standard facilities, I will not ever recommend this park to anyone. Dickie Whacker has been having a terrible time too. I also noticed that there is a charge of $5 for each visitor entering the park per site! I figure that is a licence to print money!
I would never compare my Dickie Whacker to the ex PM, my budgie has much greater intelligence!

G'day. Sorry mate. I did not mean to offend. Thought you were having a joke on us. I apologise.

Cheers.

Was there a No Pets sign at the entrance? If not you may have a legitimate grumble.  I know on their website it clearly says No Pets. I reckon they were pretty good to you by bending the rules for you and allowing you to stay.

No doubt in your mind your pet is no trouble but can you be sure that the person on the site next to you is not allergic to budgies and they seek out parks with a No Pet policy so they don't suffer allergic reactions.

You wonder if they know what a budgie is, I wonder do you know what rules are?

If the person on the next site is allergic to budgies, it would be a very specific allergy and would probably make world wide medical history. I say this very much tongue in cheek because of the huge Feral Pigeon population which cadges off every site to the point of nearly stepping on them when getting out of the van! The Black Ducks are just as bad! And I did not see a sign saying no pets. Although I have seen dogs being walked in the park!

That park does not enjoy a good reputation around these parts to the best of my knowledge. I haven't stayed there however and NEVER will. Why?......because it's in bloody Adelaide and I dislike cities!
