Nearby neighbour carrying a new dress in her arms visited. Had coffee. She said "Trump is elected, within a month we'll have a world war, we'll all be dead". My wife ironed the new dress. " what's the new dress for" I asked. "My sons wedding". She replied. When is it? I asked. " next April"..... Ummmmmm.

I'm hopeful that it was all a vote-grabbing act. His victory speech seemed like a different person. Who is the real Trump? We all wait with baited breath. This man is either more intelligent or more conniving than any of us can imagine & the next 4 (or is it 5?) years will see some kind of change, hopefully for the better.

When I went to bed last night all the experts were predicting that the US markets were going to lose up to 10% of it's value, This morning I see that the Dow is up by nearly 300 points (1.5%). Personally I'm going to sit tight and ride it out just like with the Brexit fiasco things will eventually settle down again. I'm not a fan of the man but it was up to the people of the US not the rest of the world to decide who they wanted to lead them and if you think about the choice they had neither option was really that great.
