Not sure I have posted a quicky on our last cruise.. HERE TIS...
November 5 2015
With half the family in tow we got off the aircraft in Sydney and got onto the train, VERY cheap for pensioners, even from another state. I know Sydney petty well so I knew when to tell my grandson and daughter too look out the window... and there she was, one very large ship (over 100 metric gross tons) 1000 feet long with 14 decks. WOW!!!
We found our way out of Circular Quay and booked in. Went through customs etc I made the security scanner beep (with my metal knee) and got patted down every time I went on and off the ship or aircraft.
So on we went to deck 4.. wow is the operative word for this beast, its very big. We had a "stateroom" on deck 12.. very nice indeed.
Next stop Bay of Islands in NZ. Easy on the tenders and a very pretty spot (see pix)
Then Auckland.
We decided to spend some time at the Kelly Tarlton aquarium, wow. You have to see this place to believe it. Emperor penguins behind glass, majestic creatures. Lots of other displays to boggle the mind, not just fishes either.
Then Noumea..
Now im not too keen on this place, its tropical and not very friendly natives (when they speak English) I know its a French province but IMHO why does a tourists destination close doors at 1300 for a 2 hour siesta?
Next stop Isle of Pines.. nice swimming and scenery to die for.
Then Mystery Island, again beautiful tropical island.
Pix tell the whole story, however you have to do a cruise once in your life, even if you chuck up on the way over the ditch (and there are plenty of medications to stop that).
Yo Ho Ho me harties
