Caretaker position

We are presently being caretakers at the Bundaberg Gliding Club.  This is situated about 29min drive south of Bundaberg on the Childers Road.  The main thing they require here is that you are a presence to deter vandals.  Any other chores you do is at your inclination eg.   Keith has  mowed using their ride on.  The deal is we pay $50/week.  This gives us power, hot shower, toilet & a good level place to park up.  The place is very quiet during the week & members mostly only come out on the weekend to take their planes up.  They have asked us to stay on as permanent caretakers but as we have already made other arrangements we had to decline.  We will be here until middle of Dec.  They have asked us to help them find someone to take our place then.  So I am letting you all know of this opportunity.  Please send me a private message if you are interested.

Sounds like a great opportunity ! for someone to park up for a few months, and let the travelling funds build up in the kitty !smile

If you have to be there 7 daya a week, surely you should be allowed to stay at no charge? Especially if you also do some mowing?

Seems like a good deal to me, better than paying $150 a week or more -- and the lawn? well even with a mow once a week it's still cheap accommodation.

Cheers

The naysayers are looking a gift horse in the mouth, I feel. I think it is a great deal that Kandagal are on - they are there as if it is their home, they still come and go with their daily business.

I think paying $50 a week and having to do some jobs is good value .Thats only $7.14 per day.
Hope someone takes this on

The Gliding Club has only a small member base &are not very financial. Hence the small fee. By the way, whoever takes this position on whether just for a few months or as a permanent will probably score a flight in a glider. Alice
