As well as pet items Aldi have several camping items on special from Saturday 29th October.
Folding tables, floor mats, self inflating sleeping mat, lightweight sleeping bag, inflatable chair(!), folding chair and so on.
The item that I will have a look at is a collapsible electric kettle for $29.99. Not sure how it will work but it looks like it can be stored in a small place. First time I have ever seen or heard of such an item.
A collapsible electric kettle . . . this I've got to see! The mind boggles. I love Aldi. Best yoghurt I've ever eaten.
Cheers, Tony
We used to have collapsable metal drinking mugs. Just a set of metal cylinders that were fitted inside each other. When you pulled them out they sealed against the adjacent small/larger cylinder.
All picnic sets had them. I wonder if the Aldi jug is like that.
I'll have a look when I go there to check out their blow up chair. Because of my crook spine I need support for the back of my neck when sitting. Perhaps a blow up high backed chair might be the go for the van.
Same as the collapsible gas stove kettles you buy from camping/caravan mobs. Only difference is this one has an electric element. Would be good for when you have 240 v in parks.

Life Was Ment To Be Easy If You Have The Ability To Adapt
We travelled at stayed in VIC and NSW for about a year in 2014/15 and every time we went into any of the many Aldis, they were always quite busy - and how many years have they been operating these States???
In WA, they were packed out for the first 3-5 weeks and now you can walk into most of them at various times of the day and you can fire off a shotgun without hitting anyone and usually only one checkout operating. Go across the road to Woolies or Coles and they are very busy.
Are we Westies a bit odd, have too much money and don't need the cheaper prices, don't like Aldi products OR have Coles and Woolies decided to make like the last fight of the cane toad (another WA issue) and they are pricing Aldi out in many items (yep - they are often cheaper now on the branded - as opposed to their home brands - lines).
We seldom go to Aldi anymore (despite visiting regularly in the East for almost a year) and we only buy usually less than $20-30 worth. Most of our stuff comes from the BIG TWO or even our local IGA who have really sharpened their pencils

The amazing things you see when nomading Australia
S'mores are some sort of American treat that has marshmellows as an ingrediant. I have often seen them mentioned in American magazines. Apparently they are good for camping.
Other than that I have never tried them - maybe this will give me an opportunity.
You're right there, Bruce and Bev, about Aldi in WA. First couple of weeks, they were chockablock. I went to the Butler Aldi yesterday and felt very lonely. Only one checkout working, and she was far from overworked.
They have a restricted range of groceries, which could be part of the problem. Some prices are good, and some are not.
Mind you, it's a funny State. Tailgaters are everywhere. And when you move into the left lane to give them room to pass, they just change lanes, tuck in behind you and keep tailgating!
I was born in WA (Gnowangerup), but there are still times it makes me shake my head.
Cheers, Tony
