Corryong. Victoria

Such a beautiful area, truly breathtaking views to Snowy Mountains, etc... Very uninviting weather, though. Rained last night, heavy at times, Rain in the morning, sprinkles over the day, just couple of hours sunny, but chilly. Now Rains quite bad. Tomorrow promises similar conditions all over the day, with minimum 4 Celsius in the night and some 15 Celsius maximum over the day. Not my kind of weather, but I stay at my friends place, so i'ts bearable. I planned to  Greens Lakes, but my weather applet shows not much better conditions  there. Wonder if will come better soon.

Best time to go to Corryong - Christmas to Easter. Went to Man from Snowy River 2000 to 2014. It is held around Easter time. Only one really wet year in all those years. Heading up again for MFSR in 2018 - soonest I could book a B & B.
... Val smile

Go to Jingellic for a few days first weekend in December been doing this for about 15 years. Brilliant free camp there at the pub. Interesting riding a motorbike between Tallangatta and Corryong, Can start off at 24 degs and drop to 4 degs then back to 24 again. A big hill to tackle. And watch for the deer. It is indeed a lovely part of the world. Grab a drink at the Koetong Pub. Corryong, Walwa and back to Wodonga on the Vic side then cross back over the big bridge at the Hume Weir into NSW and then back to Vic a few Kms later. It's sort of like an inland version of the GOR.

Road across Granya is brilliant (C546). Just got to watch for all the leaves and twigs down. Sad part is I've been riding from Bellbridge to Jingellic in at least one direction for 16 years and have never noticed the pub at Granya (river road). Too busy concentrating. Last year I went to Jingellic in the van and to my surprise - a pub.
