I have the Camps 8 book and am looking for places to stop in coming weeks. Some of the ones I am looking at say Small Vehicles only but have the caravan and Motorhome pictures. I have a 6.5metre Toyota Coaster. Am I classified as "small" and would I be pretty safe attempting to get into these types of camps?
Page 11 of Camps 8 is entitled How to Use this Guide.
In the second column, near the bottom, you will read the following information -
Small Vehicle On some site descriptions, we add 'small vehicles only'. This generally indicates the entry into the site is tight and parking, camping or turning area is restricted, only Toyota HiAce size campers, small camper trailers or caravans are recommended.
It doesn't provide actual dimensions of what is "small" but the examples of various 'vehicles' does give some idea.
I would suggest that the Coaster may (only may) be a bit biggish in some of these sites ... but you could drive in and if too tight reverse out.
