Something to Think About

As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a $1,000 or a $10 watch - - they both tell the same time. Whether we carry a $500 or a $50 wallet/handbag - - the amount of money inside is the same. Whether we drink a bottle of $100 or $10 wine - - the hangover is the same. Whether the house we live in is 100 or 1,000 sq. ft. - - loneliness is the same.

You will realize, your true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world.

Therefore..., I hope you realize, when you have mates, buddies and old friends, brothers and sisters, who you chat with, laugh with, talk with, have sung songs with, talk about north-south-east-west or heaven and earth - - That is true happiness!!

SIX UNDENIABLE FACTS OF LIFE:

1. Don't educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be Happy. So when they grow up they will know the value of things not the price.

2: Best awarded words: "Eat your food as your medicines. Otherwise you have to eat medicines as your food."

3: The One who loves you will never leave you because even if there are 100 reasons to give up he or she will find one reason to hold on.

4: There is a big difference between a human being and being human. Only a few really understand it.

5. You are loved when you are born. You will be loved when you die. In between, You have to manage!

6: If you just want to Walk Fast, Walk Alone! But if you want to Walk Far, Walk Together!

SIX BEST DOCTORS IN THE WORLD:

1. Sunlight
2. Rest
3. Exercise
4. Diet
5. Self Confidence and
6. Friends

Maintain them in all stages of Life and enjoy a healthy life.

The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Well said Daveo!  smile

Sadly, there will always be some people who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

Very, very wise words.

Once retired, men with sheds live longer and happier than men without sheds. Men with dogs live longer and happier too. Play in my shed, walk and talk to my dog. I'll live happily forever.

I love talking to my dog as his ears pop up and give me the impression he's listening.

On the other hand the boss tells me to shut up, such is life.

A lot of that is true. but a lot of the alternatives/in reverse of are also.

Me. I'm on old age pension now.
HAD lots. Spent lots.
Everybody that knows me will tell you I ALWAYS have a smile. even when fighting cancer
and a few other thing.

Life is what YOU make it I reckon.

starting young, Find a job doing something everybody NEEDS... (I told all my grandkids that)
You'll always have work then. and save all your life. As well as living it.

Then when you older. YOU comfortable. YOU financial. YOU happy with life.

Believe me. Nobody is happy with any life
where YOU haven't got the where withall to make it comfortable in todays world.

I retired at 49.
Wear a $700 watch Cause I like it.
Drink Single Malt $100+ a bottle. Cause I like the taste.(Current one $140. Taliskers 18 Yummm)

Live in a 2 storey house looking over the islands with a pool in back garden.
on Tropic of Capricorn.
Cause I like it. and we could afford it. (Paid cash)

Gone overseas every yr for last 7 yrs or so for coupla three months.
Cause we could afford. and also liked it.

Prior to.
3 months a yr cruising Aust in van.
But got tired of same old same old.
You can only do the lap so many times. I baulked on the 9th.

And I'm quite happy with no people round me. Family or otherwise.
Once a yr at X-Mas is fine.

I still have a happy smile on my face every day. (Mainly cause I'm NOT surrounded)
I, and others like me.
ARE happy with our lives at our pace and selection.

and my kids growing up.Financial. Happy. Lots of friends.
and will retire a comfortable life too.
Rather than scratching on a pension? or a coupla hundred grand Super.

A person needs a min of 2 mill to be comfortable
specially now there's no interest to talk about.

Be realistic.

Friendliness. etc is fine. BUT cover your arse.
WITH a smile first.

We assessed ours to travel till 75.
And live comfortable for the rest.
So Far.. So Good.
They can have house, cars and whatever cash left.

I don't believe in leaving for kids.
That gives them NO incentive when you have a few.
We spent ours and they know it.
