Ready at last

Well I think we are finished and ready to be self reliant and off grid. Joolca en-suite and hot tap shower. Separate water tanks for drinking and shower. Thetford toilet. Diesel heating plus spare diesel, gas cooking and fridge. 200 w solar panel onto a 105 w battery. 1000 w inverter. New gas bbq from Aldi plus 4 x 4kg gas bottles. Unfortunately the 9kg bottles are too big for the 'A' frame. LEDS throughout. 40 litre grey mobile water tank. Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything. Maybe a trial next week down to Foster free camp at the old rail station. Anybody been there lately ????

Well done Colin. You have the off grid set up so get out there in the playground and enjoy it.

One thing if I may. That 1000w Inverter, it will chew into that battery so when possible only use it during the day while the solar is doing it's thing.

Is that the free camp beside the creek? I might have the wrong spot though, it's been many moons. If so might be worth checking if flooded mate.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Thanks. Yes already thought of charging stuff during the day. I reckon I have a good mix to cover most situations. If not, who cares. The free camp is at the old station in Camps 8. I am going to wait until next week and try for a few sunny days. Col P

It sounds like a very good free camp set up Colin

Hope you have a good shakedown cruise

I free camp quite adequately without the heater, BBQ, and separate drinking water tank, buy I do carry 30 litres of drinking water, just in case
