BREAKING NEWS FROM THE FRASER COAST
Councillor Truscott has just posted this on FaceBoook.
"I am pleased to announce that a motion has just been passed in Council to attract more RVs into Maryborough! The number of spaces for RVs will be increased at the Alan and June Brown car park, the time allowed will change from 20 to 48 hour stays. Council will also seek tenders for the lease of vacant land at the Maryborough Airport for the purpose of offering low cost camping. I believe this is a win for Maryborough and the Fraser Coast."

Thanks for the post.I was unaware of the free camps that you have mentioned. We have camped at the Showground and Cherry Nomads in the past 6 months. We have enjoyed our time/house sitting on the Fraser Coast both around Maryborough and Hervey Bay. Nomads should be aware that if you spend $10- in Hervey Bay you can free camp at the Tourist Information car park under the "shop & Stop" offer.
AND yes the "Fraser Coast" has a lot to offer for those who are traveling the country and enjoying the journey as opposed to the destination. We are back in 2017 for a month or more. Just love "Hervey Bay".
