Crusader Musketeer Aramis Caravan - comments and recommendations

Crusader Musketeer Aramis Caravan - comments and recommendations.

Hi all.

I am looking around at caravans suitable for my 2016 V6 Prado 4l auto and came across a Crusader Musketeer Aramis Caravan today which seemed to tick all the boxes so I thought I would ask for opinions.

It is a 20' tandem axle van (members have previously said this is a good maximum size for a Prado) which should be under 2500kgs when fully loaded judging by the tare weight of 2100.

It also meets the under 250kg (180kg) ball weight and at 20', seems like an easy van to tow.

Just wondering if anyone has any views on these caravans.

The dealer (if you believe anything they tell you) said this is a very popular van for Prado owners.

Do members recommend purchasing the van electronic stability program?

They retail new for around $61,000 and seem to offer a lot for the price.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Regards

David

For what its worth David, I have a Crusader Musketeer simplicity 2.8 and have owned it since Mar 2015. It has been back several times for internal panels bowing out beside the bed x 2, and has had internal roof leaks. All fixed under warranty albeit it a little slow for approval from quotes!! Now in for repairs for further internal leaks. Water pouring through speakers, and coming out through bottom of upper kitchen cupboards.

Van is not usable at the moment, hasn't been for two weeks, and I am still waiting for approval of repairs. Many other people are happy with theirs though I believe. Maybe I got a Friday one??!!

cheers
