bernie christiansen rest area qld. this morning. A woman and her young adult son stayed the night in their 22ft. Van. No problem theRe. When they left , they emptied their kitty litter tray right where the next traveller would like to park. Pleny of bush not 10 feet away.

Are you sure it was kitty litter tray, with people who do things like that you need to be very carefull of what they dump out of their RV, it could be much more unpleasant than kitty litter

Happily doing both to the Max.
Life is like a camera, focus on what's important & you will capture it every Time
Had cats for over 20 yrs.
Change litter every three days. (Found a really good. Clumping NO SMELL litter)
and cover with a layer of lavender scented.
EVERY time I empty, it goes in kitchen rubbish bag. (Grey plastic from Coles etc)
and out with rubbish.
Anybody doing less is disrespectful to all.
It's not hard.
Specially compared to dogs, with ****ing leg everywhere.
digging holes and leaving steaming heaps on anybody's property.
Even if you DO pick it up. there's still some left in the grass,
for your/the owners shoe to pick up and spread inside house.
I know.
pictures upside down seems to happen quite frequently I remember when choosing my avatar as Iam a fishermen ,theres one on this website I wanted to use but it kept coming in upside down , like the one here, for some reason this one worked out from my own library,I don't mean to highjack this thread but how do you straighten the pictures so there not upside down?
looks like I have figured it out anyhow travelling scumbags, are a fact of life but there a minority hopefully...

I can now more or less confirm (to myself) that the travellers who leave a mess, and get the Grey Nomads a bad name, are obviously not a member of the Grey Nomads forum.
Last weekend I met up with other Grey Nomads forum members, and due to the complete lack of rubbish, I could only walk around aimlessly, instead of showing off, and using my rubbish pickup tool
I joined Keep Australia Beautiful Council as a litter spotter and then went on to "Adopt a Spot". KABC supply litter collection bags.
I use my long handled tongs and leave the full bags in or next to the bins. The supplied bags are stronger than domestic rubbish bags and biodegradable.
I prefer to leave a camp in a better state than I find it. This however appears to be contrary to many travellers.
