I've had the ARB for a good couple of years now and can't fault it. I do a lot of beach fishing and forever having to air my tyres down and then pumping them back up. The ARB is the most efficient one I've ever had. Well worth their premium price.

I have an on board ARB permanently fitted behind the rear seats in our Maverick with the air hose I can get to all 4 tyres, this unit I do like.

I also carry a Bushmaster Air Compressor for portable use, this unit is 12 years old and still pumping but not as quick as the ARB unit.

Cheers

When buying an air compressor, look for one that has a fan for cooling. The non-fan ones tend to overheat.

I bought a replacement one recently. On special for $75.

Was one of top performers on that compressor test in mag last yr.

It's in back of ute. When ute comes back I'll get name for you.

Not game to drill holes in ute for snorkel I've had in garage for over 2 yrs.
Paying somebody to do for me. Finally.
Plus a coupla electrical jobs.

again... Finally.

PS. The heating and cooling requirements depend on what you doing.
Mostly not req'd for our work.
Unless bulk inflation /deflation for offroading.
Mine took 4 from 17lb to 32lb in one hit. no problems.

I have the Thumper as well, https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/specials/weekly-deals/thumper-air-compressor.html?utm_source=Supacentre+Customers+-+Marketing&utm_campaign=1f5c76b730-160922_4WD_Supa_Marketing_Thursday_s_EDM9_21_2016&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_205501b6f7-1f5c76b730-12823757&mc_cid=1f5c76b730&mc_eid=da343990eb They also now make a bigger one and an extension hose. Lots of stuff on their site so check it out.

Did not like the pressure guage and fitting so cut them of and replaced with clip in fittings and used a proper gauge I had in the shed. I allso put a pair of anderson plugs on the power line so can be used of the battery or of a spare anderson plug on the rig

I bought 2 from aldis 1 for 1 of my trucks and so far it has worked for 2.5 yrs running for about 1/2 an hr at times sometime 3 cycles through the day . I saw jaycar were selling the same ones . Not a bad price and twin cylinder . The one on the truck is under the tray so semi in the weather also has water spray from front left wheel when it's raining and being driven . If I'm ever going to get another that's the one for me because it's proven . I have found a lot of failures comes from not getting used enough but some will disagree .

Same here with adjustments.
Off with end of hose, dial. Use good one and Anderson with short and/or long lead to suit.

They have a very good reputation now and a sensible price.
equal and more to the multi hundred dollar units.
Look up compressor reviews on net.

Everything. With moving parts. Needs regular activation to keep them lubricated and not sticking together.
even Hard drives in your computer. (Says he with SSD drives.)

@ Macka mate just used my thumper for the first time and the pressure release valve kept work the whole time I ran the compressor.
Is this normal as I have never used a large car compressor before. Cheers
