Tare and GVM

G'day all

I am still totally confused with weights and measures on the caravan

Looking at the Rego papers for the Caravan it has

Tare  1680

GVM  2080

I looked at a site it had ATM (GVM )

Am I right to assume = make an ASS / U / ME

That this is the maximum weight you can have in the caravan

Told you I was confused blankstare

Cheers

Ron

GVM is the incorrect terminology for a trailer. The maximum weight it is legal to on the road is the ATM = 2080kg.
The Tare figure (empty weight) is likely to be quite wrong, but that is not important provided you do not exceed the ATM.

Cheers,
Peter
