Is there such a thing as a roadway to the sun, or is my imagination looking at something that is not there

First time with my new toy (as my nearly 20 year old 3.2 Megapixel camera was slightly outdated)

New camera is Fujifilm Finepix S8600 16 Megapixel 36x Zoom
On special at my local Post Office (less than $200) complete with bag + 16 GB SDSH card

No disrespect to real photographers, and you are allowed to laugh out loud, as I know nothing about photography
