Central West NSW caravan stops

Hello to all the GN's travelling back south. Well we are about to leave our home in FNQ, travelling to Coffs Harbour and then over to the Bathurst area. Has anyone stayed at Wyangala or Burrendong Dams, if so do you recommend them. We would also be staying around Blayney/Carcoar areas.

Your response and tips will be appreciated

Regards

Darmc

Don't know about Wyrangala or Burrendong, but have stayed a couple of times at Carcoar - great spot to stay - only 10k out of Blayney, which has about all a camper needs, dump point, water, gas refills at hardware store (well stocked), large IGA store, bakeries, cafes, pubs with good meals, and lots more.

The Dam itself did not have much water when we were last there, but still a nice spot. Go for a walk across the dam, up to the wind turbines, which are huge when you get close. Flushing toilets, cold showers, and a concrete with drinking water (tho I would prefer to buy my drinking water). Some good level spots, but most you will need ramps to level. Lovely peaceful spot.
