Product review accessible Van Help!

Hello everyone, ok I've been searching for a wheelchair accessible van for years to suit my vehicles tow rating (Holden Adventra) i have found a potential suitable pop up camper from Kakadu camper trailers it's the Chameleon model, it looks good via pictures I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these campers good or negative feedback?
It has a nice price tag but also has a lot of engineering gone into it, full hydraulic lift and van also extends, this alone would be very expensive I assume.

My vehicle tow rate 2100kg
Van is 1700kg empty
is 300kg enough to play with?

I'm new to the caravan scene, anyone suggest what I should be looking out for?

The van looks OK to me, but I wonder about raising the Fold-in bit at the front. It comes up with the roof, but you need someone to then climb on the bed and set the metal hoop which supports the canvas/vinyl which covers the bed. Similarly, as you close the roof down, you need to tuck the canvas/vinyl in before the roof finally gets down all the way. If you have and able-bodied person to help you here it would be OK.

Hi erad,

yes wondered to same thing, it has the frame there to push up and lucky for me I have a wonderful partner to assist! I wonder if there's a pole/rod that can push/pull it open and shut??

We used to use a "spreader" tent pole - had hooks on both ends, which went over the horizontal bars on the roof - it could be used to push your bar to the roof.. Available where tent poles are sold.

Just had a look- great looking camper.

Matt and me: You could probably push the frame up yourself, but once it is up you normally need to insert and exted the brace which keeps it tensioned. That would require climbing on the bed. Similarly, getting it down would require someone getting on the bed and undoing the brace and then remving it.

Other than that, as far as I can see it looks OK for you, but you would be the judge of that. There seems to be a bit of room inside the van for a wheelchair. Nice van - How much is it?

Why not buy a full height 2 singles lightweight van Front or rear door.
Straight through.
Probably Euro.

Then have a hydraulic/electric drop down hoist mounted to door frame.
Shouldn't stick out much more than Roll Out awning.

No messing with all that ramp work assy then,
and a straight run right through to other end of van..
Have a dinette and remove one side seat for chair.

POP tops are a bummer when travelling.
Up Down. Up Down.
Only advantage you'd have is not banging your head in doorway.

Just a thort.
