You ever been to Canaveral when they launch.
We were there for two of them.(Visiting family) You can watch from the mainland.
You just couldn't believe the smoke and steam? they generate.
Nor how big the buggars are as they trundle along on those trolleys at 1 1\2 mph.
Specially when you on a tour inside facility. (not when launch Loaded.)
Those buses.
Lotsa vibrations over lotsa yrs.
Wiring, fual lines etc gets brittle. (fatigue)
It's a wonder more don't do it.
At least with the converted ones. The wiring has been checked??.
and liveaboard conversions all relatively newish, compared to age of busses.
I've been looking at a little merc (19/21 seater?) with only 174k on clock.
rebuilt. head. exch Inj/Pump Lines etc. exch Transm (Auto), and brakes.
Asking $20k got him down to $18k without too much arguement.
Make a great fishing camper and capable of towing my 5.25 bow rider.
No such luck Macka. By coincidence I had seen a TV news report on the recent Canaveral launch failure just before I read this post, so I couldn't resist. Movies of the launches at the Cape are always mind blowing. One day maybe...
