Greens Lake Update

For those interested here are some updated photos, as of 30/8/2016, of Greens Lake.

Weather quite miserable and graded road & tracks sloppy and slippery. OK at the toilets.

About 10 vans & RV's.

Aysons Reserve may be a better bet in winter. See Aysons Reserve post.

Is fresh drinking water available at the lake?

There are taps in both toilets and if you filter or boil first all is good. I drink it and I am still around.

Thanks Doug. I have been watching for some time and have only posted 3 or 4 times so far. Thinking of going to greens in about 6 weeks. Just that I noticed the sign on the tap at the dump site said not for drinking. So I asked the question.

Hello oldbloke

As Dougwe has already said, welcome to the forum

I have seen that type of sign on plenty of taps near a dump point, while other taps nearby have a sign saying drinking water, or words to that effect

Perhaps it is because the tap is too close to dump point, and there is a high chance of contamination, as a lot of people use the hose connected, to rinse out their cassette

If the water was not potable, there would usually be a sign near the sink, inside the ablution block
