Change of direction to the North

Hi all,

We are now going north, after consulting with Bruce & Bev last night, with their house still not finished. We will visit on our way back down the West Coast.

So after stopping in Kalgoorlie for much needed top up of fuel, water, and Woolies + BWS 11.am opening.no

We hit the road north, first stop the old stock piles of old railway sleepers. Out comes the Ryobi 18v cordless to test the Iron Bark. it took 5mins to fill our firewood basket and put the ratchet straps on.

Next was the town ship of Menzies for late lunch of naughty finger buns washed down with a cup per from our trusty air pot.

Running late from doing the shopping do we free camp or go for Linster 135km past Leonora.

Linster It is and we roll to a stop at 5.05pm. Inflation has caught up, it's now $20 for the two of us with power and hot showers.

We walk over to the Supermarket to hand over our coin and sign the book. Sh.   T what the wind has blowen into town, John what are you doing here mate. One of my old mates is doing some electrical contracting work for a few months in one of the the small mining companies to top up his traveling fund. Join us for dinner down in the mess? Your both family cost you $10 ahead. We'll be in that. Hot roast pork and double desert for tea tonight. And I through we were eating well already.

Can this trip get any better tomorrow?

Jim & Lambie

Leinster mess is a great place to dine! There is probably a free washing machine still at the CP as well - very cheap place to stay:)

and one of the Leinster pubs has a pleasant (both on the eyes and ears lol) skimpy.

Hopefully our place will finally be ready for us to start moving in in about 2 weeks.......but Jim and Lambie will probably have to stay at a local CP to us as we wont have got our 2n driveway down by the time they get down to Perth - but I will treat them to the best fush n chups we've had in years - and at a reasonable price.
