Huckleberry Jim hits pay dirt

Hi all,

Thanks for your replies to our posts.

Today I awoke at 7am. The best sleep, in years 8 hours straight. Unbeliveable. My back has been giving me hell. At first I thought more Kidney stones.

Sooooo took a bit of this and that ( all prescribed) to kill / dull the pain.

Anyway I took Lambie back to the trash / Gold mine. Yesterday we also found big foots right thong, and took a photo of same.

Today we found big foots left thong. Now I where size 9 , these things were size 18 no BS. However after wearing them them to walk over the trash as you would not believe the rubbish Tip. Fluoro tubes light blobes by the millions.

what did disturbed me was the number of 12 gauge shot gun shells, all plastic. Poor old Albertross. I know you will say they are from Cruise Ships NOT.

Well we walk and walk East looking for the mother load.

Then before my eyes we  finally found it. The Holy Grail. Left to Right Two sand banks feeding off two rock Groins sand banks into  this chennel back into the southern ocean. Spells fish and more fish. We could see the fish in this hole in the middle of no where. In full daylight. A Fishermans dream come true.

We will be stopping here late September.

Futher more we found another bottle with Teachers stamped on it. It's not an old bottle but Lambie wanted it to remember her past. Plus 2 Aberlonie shells complete. The colours under neither were again Gold.

Well we have packed up and moved into Euchla proper Tonight.

I got talking to the guy at the Quarantine station as to what we had been doing for the last to days.

He got all excited as like ,I would expect Larry to do so. They took all our veg I thought. When we pulled into the CV park, and opened the door, more Gold. He forgot to take our Tomato's x 2 with him off the table.smilesmilesmilesmile

Well now I'm excited too. We have lunch tomorrow. Heading into Full WA now, so look out all sand gropers, we have arrivered.

regards Jim & Lambie

Great to hear its still good for you two.

The swimming pool at the Euchla CP is fantastic - if you stay in any of the motel rooms or the CP you can use it. Its through a walkway beside the café entrance. Cold as hell, even in the height of summer, but a great way to get cool really quick. The food there is pretty good to - not cheap as its trucked in like the rest of the Roadhouses - and good coffee as well.

Remember if you want to stay at the CP there, you need to have some $1 coins (you can get them at their servo) so you can have a hot shower. When we went through there about 7 months ago, half the power outlets in the CP weren't working, so it was first in got them. Hopefully by now they have fixed them all. You can drive down to the beach and walk along the Southern Ocean beach and explore the telegraph station and staff houses - you can access these places for nothing and you don't have to stay at the CP or motel
