Travelling from WA to SA where is the quarantine point

we will be travelling home to SA along the  Nullarbor from WA . Just wondering where we get checked is it at the border or Ceduna I have heard different opinions. I understand you get checked coming into WA at the border but goi g home is it the same.

It is close to Ceduna, coming East. Love travelling the Nullarbor, can't wait to do it again!

Went through yesterday. With recent rain the bush was in great shape. At Head of Bight there were 141 whales in the bay

don't take the risk of hiding prohibited goods and make sure you don't accidently leave some in your van and car. The SA staff are generally not as vigilant as the WA ones and they've never check our tow vehicle - just our van and they always make for the fridge - we've never had cupboards opened. I suspect its because of the State cut-back on staff - theres often not more than one person there and there is no protection from rain like the WA check point.

Last time we went into SA we accidently had a pile of fresh fruit and veg in the crisper baskets of the van fridge. The inspector opened the baskets, but for some reason didn't see them (they weren't in bags) and we drove on through with the offending goods

It is just before Ceduna, Be very sure to obey the speed limit coming in as the local constabulary work the area for plenty of reward.

Gday Grumpytoo (Glenn)

Half your luck seeing that many whales!  We stopped there last year and not a one.  Did you take any photos?
