Chemo number 7 this week.

Heading off to Noosa tomorrow for a couple of days.  From there my sister Lois and brother in law will take me to RBWH on Wednesday for chemo 7.

Haven't had a chance to update, has been very hectic but slowly coming back to normal.
Didn't get chemo started till 3pm last Wednesday, thank goodness only had to go back to Noosa that night.
I hadn't seen the doctor as everybody was running behind time so he came an saw me at the chemo.
One more to go, number 8 on 11th August then hopefully can head for Sapphire by the Monday or Tuesday of the next week. Looking forward to catching up with anyone in the vicinity.
I have 4 weeks break before I start radiation which will be every day Monday to Friday for 4 weeks. Fortunately after me pleading he has been able to transfer that treatment to Hervey Bay. Would have been impossible to get it done in Brisbane.
Last weeks treatment went well and as usual had a fantastic nights sleep the first night. Then the chemo kicks in and the next night awake till 3am tossing and turning, aches and pains.
Yesterday was a very tiring day where all I could manage was to go get a few groceries but made myself stay up with no nana nap in the afternoon.
Thank goodness last night slept solidly from 9pm to 5am. Certainly feeling a bit better today. Will take a few days to feel better thats for sure.

A week has gone by since number 7 chemo. What a really crappy week. Hoping for a better week to come.

Can't sleep so thought may as well elaborate.
Firstly my legs feel so weak they don't have the strrngth to carry me around.
Monday and Tuesday I spent most of the time lying on the bed. Today decided that wasn't good enough so took myself out for a walk to shops to try and get some strength back in my calves.
Working my way upward, my stomach, well lets say very active and causing all sorts of pain.
Arms are aching like full of arthritis, makes it difficult to even hold this phone.
Skin peeling off arms and back like severe sunburn. I call it skin eruptions as the areas where it decides to peel become red and inflamed first then the skin peels.
Lots of muscle aches all over, tired and weak.
Hopefully 2nd week will be a lot better. Working out for my last chemo on 11th August next Thursday, just how much time to allow myself before hitting the road for Sapphire. At this stsge looks like I need to allow at least a week maybe a bit more.
Planning to be there last week in August all going well. Will have a few weeks to rest up and sort out before heading back here for radiation first week in October I'm thinking.
Anyone in the Sapphire Rubyvale area during that time you are welcome to come park up for a bit.

I sure hope you start to feel better soon Marj. At the moment I have added conjunctivitis to my woes. I know what you mean about the tired, heavy feeling in limbs. Makes everything an effort. Anyway I send my best wishes Alice

Just what you don't need Alice. Take care. Very cold and windy here at the moment. Probably the same out of Bundy.

Certainly feel a lot better today, nearly normal. That means I need a week to recover next chemo before thinking about getting on the road.
