Laundry on the road is a problem. I spent weeks in my workshop figuring out some outlandish inventions to make washing easier when in remote places. Googled countless sites and checked out many products. Hand-powered, water-saving, rinsing and drying all presented different ways and some were downright expensive.
Solution? A spin mop and bucket!
I needed to replace our domestic mop and bought a foot powered spin mop. $40!! Brilliant little gadget that takes the work out of cleaning the house.
.....and the camper.
But wait! There's more!
It is also a washer and spin dryer for camp laundry. 5 litres max of water, add detergent, drop in your clothes, remove the mop head and then just old-style plunge the washing for a few minutes.
Drain the clothes, then pop in the spinner and pump the pedal. Refill the bucket with clean water to rinse (a few plunges is all it needs), then drop the laundry items in to the spinner again to spin dry!
Dual purpose tools. Everyone needs a bucket and it saves on packing an expensive washer or waiting in a line at the camp ground.

Great idea - have you put it in the Hints and Tips section? Might get a bit lost on here - but multi purpose tools and items are fantastic on the road. I use a 20litre bucket, with a lid, sometimes I will fill it when we are travelling, put the soap in and leave in the bathroom - get to destination, ring it out and hang it up! I also use the bucket as a dirty clothes hamper, when it is full, it is time to wash - I use a paint stirrer from Bunny's - works well.

In any case SWMBO does the washing ... at every opportunity. I am banned because I don't hang the washing out properly.
ie. Undies on inside line, sox in pairs next .. sheets on outside with 3 pegs each. All shirts and similar together.
I just reach into the basket & what comes out next goes on the line next ... shirt - sock - undies - towel or whatever.
My contribution is to make sure that the old 35mm film containers are full of $1 &$2 coins. I set up & take down the mini rotary clothes line too ... in the prescribed place ... In the sun but out of sight!!!
I bought the $80 eBay washing machine . Bit slow on the final spin . In 18 moths it's done fine . At times we fill half full add detergent ( usually wool detergent) and clothes . Put away and let vehicle motion do the washing .. But most the time it's just to wash light swet .. All good . Runs 240v through inverter .,
OK. Forgive a newbie. I will repost it. Yep! The old barrel wash while bumping along is good, too. It's the wringing out and rinsing that gets me. The mop bucket is fine for small loads, but GN's usually travel light and in pairs, so not a huge problem.
