Travelling with minimal outlay, minimal depreciation,  maximum return on investment  and still doing it in comfort . . Way to go for enjoyment and good times . Good to see.

No need to spend big dollars to enjoy yourself. Wise decision, enjoy your travels in your neat outfit. Cheers Allen

Proof that you don't have to spend big dollars, just have to be reasonably able to keep up the maintainance which probably won't be as regular and finicky as a big new rig and far less expensive..

It doesn't matter whether your travelling rig is expensive or of average cost ( we have a Jayco Freedom 12 years old and pulled by a nine year old Territory Ghia)  All that is important is your happiness.

And truly people in free camps or in caravan parks aren't judgemental or if they are give them a miss.

The big thing is you're doing it.

All the best and we might see you somewhere

Hello bfirth

Welcome to the forum

In 2014 I did my first full lap in a much older car, and caravan than what you have
I hope that you have many happy trips in front of you

Older well serviced cars and vans can be better set up and sorted also .. Run into many with new gear and having issues . Mind you it takes some time to sort out how your rig operates . Like light switches etc on our Explorer motorhome ..we've had it for 4 years but it's not till we have done the last 6 - 7 months doing the SA, WA, NT loop . Nothing like actually doing it .. Camping I mean .
