Welcome to the gang Mark and Kerry, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Having a caravan not a motorhome I can't help with you question so will sit this one out but wish you all best in finding what you ask about.

Keep Safe on the roads.

We are insured with Ken Tame through Cmca and our policy includes towing to the nearest repairer very good to deal with you just have to join cmca

Hi Mark and Kerry

I would also agree with dragonfly1. Ken Tame insurance is definitely worth a look. To join the CMCA is $60 odd dollars per year so no big deal PLUS it gives you some added bonuses so well worth joining even without the insurance. CMCA has 60 000 members so Ken Tame Insurance has to be very careful in its level of service as it relies on the members.

I don't have a motor home but have a Yank ute and a big van with an ATM of 4.2T so our rig is WORSE than a motor home and we get the cover. We are 16.2m in total length.

Suggest you take a look at the following on www.avidarvclub.com.au
The para below is an extract from that site in relation to the Avida roadside assist.
It covers the Avida/ Winnebago Longreach which is a big vehicle.

*****
You do not need to own an Avida to join the Roadside Assistance Program. This program is one of the few without weight or height restrictions and has been specifically developed for the RV lifestyle.

From minor roadside repairs to security system advice and vehicle recovery following breakdown, our roadside assistance scheme has it covered. Checking electrical problems, jumpstarting flat batteries, tyre change and replacement of lost keys are just some of the many areas where we can help.

To find out more download the brochure or to join call 1800 CLUB RV (1800 2582 78).

*****
I have my Birdsville covered with them and whilst I have been fortunate and never had need to use them I have never heard of any complaints. The Avida club forum references to the cover is complimentary from those who have had need to call on their services.
Nothing to loose by taking a look and making a phone call to clarify any query you may have.

Good luck and stay safe in your travels
Colin

RACWA ultimate cover will cover towing a 9 tonne motor home. Sadly tried it out. A drop deck semi was used and covered for 450klm towing by RACWA. Neil
